Chemotherapy
Onwards
I remember when I had my first chemotherapy shot, it was slow and it was scary. I think that my very skilled doctors had my back, but it was a shot in the dark. Nobody knew whether it would work, or how my body would tolerate it.
I was scared, but felt in safe hands, and anyone who experiences chemotherapy should realize that you can have a positive outcome. You should hold on to that thought.
Sadly not everyone responds to chemotherapy well. I personally found radiotherapy more gruelling, but with advances in radiotherapy treatment, it is nowhere near as bad as radiotherapy of old. My mother had a brain tumour and her radiotherapy was brutal.
I always trusted my doctors, and I was lucky enough to meet such a skilled and dedicated team. I am lucky, so far, but I would like to thank the team at Torbay Hospital. You are amazing.
I wish the same could be said for the social care system perhaps?
I generated the above image using Adobe Firefly, from just four words. Quite incredible to think. And I would like to thank everyone for their support and encouragement. Without you all it would have been so much more difficult.
