even hackers are worried

the other day I was reading a quarterly article in the hacker magazine 2600. One of the articles wrote about DOGE, the Government Organisation for Government Efficency.

The article, brought up some worrying things. Pretty much overnight staff who worked for USAID were locked out of their computers and summarily dismissed from their jobs.

Some 'minions' with no security clearance, and with a 'hidden agenda' are accessing a treasure trove of data. Sensitive and valuable data. Scary stuff. It is very plausible that, code coulde be altered and data copied. For what?

If I was an American citizen I would be concerned. Think about it. Suddenly your health insurance might go up, or become impossible to get, as an example?

Persistent links or backdoors into these databases could be written to monitor by those who have no security clearance to do so.

Corporate 'Big Brother' may be watching you with more precision and scope.
