Should we go to Barnard Castle?
Do we need our senses tested?
remember Dominic Cummings?
So it's election time in the UK, and the state continues to bamboozle the electorate and obfuscate the truth. Somehow, we need to have openness and realise that we face a myriad of problems magnified by a complete lack of openness. The "leaders" look through occluded rose tinted glasses. Raising a drawbridge against an imaginary river of blood, blaming those not English enough for our problems. Like Bruegel's painting of the blind leading the blind, we move slowly cowed by oppression and fear. At least we know that, dear Nigel kept his account open. His supporters make plans for Nigel. The last beacons of freedom are being snuffed out. It's bizarre to think that human rights are being trampled on, and a strange cabal of anti-heroes fail to recognise that one of the great achievements of post Second World War society was the universal declaration of human rights, ratified in 1948.
For me it is strange that a maligned political adviser Dominic Cummings said that:
Extremists are on the rise in Europe and are being fuelled unfortunately by the Euro project and by the centralisation of power in Brussels. It is increasingly important that Britain offers an example of civilised, democratic, liberal self-government.
I don't entirely agree with that quote, but we need openness, fairness, and equality. It's not too much to ask for, is it? Here in Merry Old England? The poem by Blake said
I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand:
Till we have built Jerusalem,
In Englands green & pleasant Land.
We need external scrutiny and protection by an organisation like the European Union or the United Nations it's not too late to break our chains of fibre optic world wide insanity and escape from the dark satanic mills and the imprisonment of our mind. We can dream? There should be universal equalty. Not too much to ask for is it?
The sacrifice of many to protect our freedoms and those blinded by evil should never be forgotten. We stumble towards a third word war. Anyone with sense should be terrified...
