Many people forget that Paddington Bear the marmalade eating fiend, was a refugee from darkest Peru. In today's society I don't think he would end up in a zoo, or a home in West London? Deportation awaits our furry friend. The downtrodden masses are on their own.

The world seems to be forgetting the lessons of the past. Extremes of all hues are banging the tin drum of nationalism and xenophobia. Indeed the society that is fed up of 'experts' marches on towards the thoughts that led to people being put in camps. Europe once again either fights against the evil before it, or we forget the lessons of our collective history to our cost. It could be very easy for us to hear the steps of Jack boots on our streets once more.

Am I exaggerating? I don't think so. Who would have thought that a party like AFD could become a mainstream group in Germany given its history. AFD is a group backed by American nationalists. Inconceivable to think of even a few years ago. The last time we saw a 'salute' given by a headbanger, who just happens to own a car company, was during the Second World War and that really did end up well didn't it. Those who don't fit the algorithm in today's society will get what they 'deserve.' The Americans want 'freedom' but on their own terms. You can have freedom in any colour you want as long as it is white. They are already metaphorically burning the books to change history.

Don't worry Paddington I will visit you in your detention camp, with some marmalade sandwiches, before they deport you back to darkest Peru.
